For now, access to the app is limited to users US and Canada users, and you can only sign up if you get an invitation. But that isn’t stopping Sora from gathering very positive reviews from the get-go. Users and commentators mainly highlight the quality of the generated content — from the smooth, realistic movement of characters, through compliance with the laws of physics, to the synchronization of sound and dialogue with the image.

The “cameo” feature, which allows you to insert yourself or your friends into the generated scenes, is being particularly well-received, but it immediately sparked a discussion about the potential risks associated with deepfakes.
