馃敀 $100 billion from Nvidia to OpenAI

Nvidia will invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI. The companies have signed a letter of intent, which includes launching at least 10 GW. Deliveries are set to start by the end of 2026.

The transaction is based on Nvidia taking non-voting shares in OpenAI, with OpenAI using the funds raised to purchase Nvidia’s chips and systems. The first instalment of $10 billion will be paid after the final agreement is signed.

“Everything starts with compute,” said Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI. “Compute infrastructure will be the basis for the economy of the future, and we will utilize what we’re building with Nvidia to both create new AI breakthroughs and empower people and businesses with them at scale.”
