One of the key steps in modernizing Polish healthcare was the establishment of the Polish Group for Robotic Surgery, Artificial Intelligence, and Telemedicine in February 2025. This initiative was launched by the National Research Institute and the Military Medical Institute, which invited leading academic and medical centers to join, including the University of Warsaw, the Medical University of Lublin, and the Świętokrzyskie Oncology Center.
The group’s goal is to implement modern technologies in the medical sector, develop AI algorithms for data analysis, and implement advanced surgical tools currently imported from abroad. At the same time, a strong emphasis is placed on the development of native technologies that could compete in international markets.
