Zuckerberg announced them as devices intended to replace smartphones for everyday tasks \u2014 from receiving messages and live translations to monitoring workouts. Additionally, there’s a whole suite of tools for developers and content creators designed to open up the ecosystem to new ideas.<\/p>
The most advanced product was the Meta Ray-Ban Display<\/strong> glasses, equipped with a semi-transparent HUD display in one of the lenses. It allows for the display of notifications, maps, translations and conversation previews.<\/p> Meta Neural Band<\/strong> is an integral part of the set that uses surface electromyography (sEMG) technology to read the micro-movements of the hands. Users can thus write in the air, scroll through content or perform precise control gestures. The band offers up to 18 hours of battery life, is waterproof, and is designed as an everyday interface for app management.<\/p> The second generation of Ray-Ban Meta<\/strong> glasses has received a doubled battery life extension (up to 8 hours), a new 12 MP camera with the ability to record video in 3K\/60 fps and an improved charging case providing an additional 48 hours of energy. Meta AI now supports email summaries, multimedia control, and extended voice commands.<\/p> The Oakley Meta Vanguard<\/strong> model, developed in collaboration with Oakley, is designed for athletes and physically active individuals. It features a 12 MP wide-angle camera (122\u00b0), an aerodynamic frame suitable for helmets, and integration with Strava and Garmin. The glasses display training data in real time, while the built-in speakers allow users to play music while they work out.<\/p> Meta has also announced the Wearables Device Access Toolkit<\/strong>, a set of APIs that allows developers to create their own apps using the features of glasses (camera, microphone, multimodal AI). Disney, which is creating a virtual guide for amusement parks with navigation and real-time information, Twitch (live broadcasts), and 18Birdies (golf game analysis) are participating in pilot projects.<\/p> Compared to previous editions of the conference, the limited presence of the metaverse and VR stands out. Meta hasn’t abandoned this vision, but the priority has shifted to solutions that are easier to integrate into users’ daily lives.
