The new service \u2014 OpenAI Jobs Platform \u2014 is set to operate differently from traditional recruitment sites.It’s not about just submitting your CV and waiting for a call, but about matching candidates to the needs of companies based on actual skills. According to OpenAI<\/a>, it\u2019s not going to be a clone of LinkedIn, but a specialized platform that connects companies with people who really know how to use AI at work.<\/p>

The platform will assess practical skills of candidates: from simple AI applications in the office to advanced prompt engineering. So it’s not about what people claim they can do, but about their actual skills.<\/p>

As Fidji Simo (director of OpenAI applications) emphasizes, the project isn’t only aimed at corporations:<\/p>

“The jobs platform won\u2019t just be a way for big companies to attract more talent. It will have a track dedicated to helping local businesses compete, and local governments find the AI talent they need to better serve their constituents”, Simo wrote on the company’s blog.<\/p>

Millions of certificates<\/strong><\/p>

Simultaneously, OpenAI is developing OpenAI Academy \u2014 an educational program designed to introduce certifications that verify AI proficiency levels.The courses will be available for different levels, including the basics of using AI in everyday work and creating custom solutions tailored to business needs.<\/p>

The first certification pilots will kick off in the fall of 2025, and the full platform is expected to be available by mid-2026.OpenAI has set an ambitious goal \u2014 by 2030, the company aims to have 10 million certified users.<\/p>

Competition or cooperation?<\/strong><\/p>

The new project raises questions about OpenAI’s relationship with Microsoft. MS is the company’s biggest investor, having committed over $13 billion, while also owning LinkedIn and being a strong player in the online course market.
