The price remains unchanged, and the performance differences are \u2014 as <strong>Anthropic <\/strong>assures \u2014 clearly noticeable.<\/p><p>The new version reaches 74.5% on the <strong>SWE-bench Verified<\/strong> benchmark. Source: Anthropic<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><p>In tests, Claude Opus 4.1 also demonstrated better detail tracking, efficiency in code refactoring, and the ability to think precisely using <strong><em>extended thinking<\/em><\/strong> \u2014 a mode that utilizes up to 64,000 tokens. In the <strong>TAU-bench<\/strong> benchmarks, the model operated in multi-stage scenarios covering up to 100 steps (averaging below 30), performing reasoning and using tools at separate stages. Claude Opus 4.1 uses two tools: bash and a text string-based file editor. Unlike Sonnet 3.7, it no longer uses a separate planning tool.<\/p><p>The model operates on the same architecture but with a new range of capabilities \u2014 especially in multi-stage tasks and code refactoring.
